scalloped and rolled felt flower tutorial

I love how whimsical these are and they are very easy.

My favorite is this one {above}. Just the plain rolled one.

This one reminds me of "painting the roses red" off of Alice In Wonderland.

So easy!

Supplies:
-felt
-a circle to trace the felt. {I used a small plate}
-scissors
-hot glue

Cut your circle out.

Next, you will cut the circle into a spiral.

It will look like this when you are done.

Make sure when you get to the end/middle of the circle you leave it like this. {shown above} VERY important!

Then cut around the edges like this.
{The scalloping part is optional. If you just want the rolled look then you can leave it out.}

After you have scalloped all the way around, start rolling and gluing.
{Start from the beginning end of where you started cutting the circle}

So roll, roll, roll, glue...and so on....

.........keep going.....

Until you get to about here...

Then I cut 2 leaves out of some green felt.
{This part is totally optional}

Glue your felt leaves to the bottom of the felt flower.

Then fold the remainder of the felt flower to the bottom.

Absolutely whimsical and beautiful....
