GIVEAWAY CLOSED
I am sooo excited!
Because today I am going to show you how to make a flower out of a neck tie!!!! :)
So go raid your husbands closet {with his permission of course} or go to your local thrift store!
I found 6 at our thrift store for a little over $3.00!
I had a few things go wrong with my pictures. I labeled them all with my blog name but some of them did not turn out... oh well!
Let's get started!
You will need a Hot glue gun and a neck tie. {You could totally hand stitch it!}
Put a small dab of glue on before you start rolling
Roll.... Every once in a while dab some glue down....
Get a pretty good roll... I rolled for about 10 inches or so....
Start twisting..... {I always do mine counter clockwise}
Put some glue down every so often.... Or maybe after each twist....
Keep repeating the twisting and gluing...
Until you get to about here..... {The lining of the tie will be facing down}
Now flip the tie over. {See what I mean about the lining?}
Now put a generous amount of glue on the bottom....
And flip the rest of the tie on the hot glue to secure the flower
This is how it should look.... See how the lining kinda looks like a petal!? :)
Ok, now we are going to make it a pin!!!
Trace your circle and cut it out
Glue pin to the back
..... Mine didn't hang quite right so I hand stitched it a little....
I think it turned out good!
Guess what!!!!!?????!!!!!!
Guess what!!!!!?????!!!!!!

Very creative! You were able to utilise the old neck tie rather than throwing it away on the trash. You have given me the idea on what to with my dad's old company ties. Glad I came across your blog.
